Tyler Keenum, MSN, RN, NP-C
Mr. Tyler Keenum received his BSN from the University of Alabama’s Capstone College of Nursing in May of 2009. He was awarded his MSN from Samford University in 2015 as a Family Nurse Practitioner with his FNP certification through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). After graduation from the CCN in 2009, Tyler was accepted into a nurse residency program at Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah, where he worked as a Pediatric ICU nurse. He spent the next four years working in the Pediatric ICU at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital where he served as a bedside nurse, back-up charge nurse, and also with the pediatric ground transport team.
Tyler is excited to return to the University of Alabama and the Capstone College of Nursing after spending six years living outside of the state. As the legendary Bear Bryant said in regards to returning to UA after being away, “Momma called. And when Momma calls, you just have to come runnin’.”
