Betty Key, MSN, RN, CCRN
Betty Key received her Master’s degree in Rural Case Management from the University of Alabama and her BSN degree from the University of North Alabama. Her nursing career began in 1985 as a licensed practical nurse after which she became an Associate Degree registered nurse. She is currently a Doctor of Education candidate with research interests in instructional strategies used during the preceptorship.
Betty was the recipient of the Epsilon Omega Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International Outstanding Graduate Student Award. She has taught as a part-time clinical instructor and is certified in adult critical care nursing. Betty worked 28 years as a bedside nurse in critical care serving in many different roles before joining the Capstone College of Nursing faculty.
