Dr. Lammon received her BSN from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 1977. Her clinical background includes working as a registered nurse in ICU, CCU and Recovery Room settings. In 1980, she earned the Masters of Science degree in Adult Health Nursing from UAB. Dr. Lammon received her PhD in biology from the University of Alabama in 2001. As a member of the graduate faculty at the Capstone College of Nursing, Dr. Lammon is responsible for coordinating the Clinical Nurse Leader Curriculum in the Master’s program. She frequently serves as a content expert and reviewer for publishers of nursing textbooks, particularly in the areas of pharmacology and pathophysiology. Dr. Lammon has authored more than 20 books, book chapters, and journal manuscripts; and is currently working on the 9th edition of Clinical Drug Therapy by Abrams, Pennington and Lammon.
