New Nurse Educator Program Kicks Off

The new nurse educator program kicked-off this fall semester with the inaugural cohort of students.

Given the need to provide superior education and training for the next generation of nurses, and the need for qualified nursing faculty, The University of Alabama is offering the Ed.D. with nurse educator specialization and M.S.N./Ed.D. programs to prepare nurses for the role of nurse educator. Through an interdisciplinary collaboration between the Colleges of Nursing and Education, practicing nurses will receive the training and knowledge necessary to be nurse educators, scholars, researchers, policy makers and institutional leaders.
