My name is Philip Fikes, and I am a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist and graduate of the University of Alabama Capstone College of Nursing. For the past several years, I have had the privilege to serve as President of the University of Alabama Capstone College of Nursing Alumni Association (UACCNAA).
The UACCNAA is excited about serving the college through organizing events and creating opportunities for alumni to stay connected with the Capstone College of Nursing and supporting current students. Now more than ever, we need your support to help meet the growing demands of healthcare and reduced revenue for higher education.
Our number one goal is to support and promote the mission of the Capstone College of Nursing. We need your help. Please consider joining the association and encourage other friends and alumni to do so as well. As a member, you will be invited to join us for a Homecoming BBQ on the Quad and receive the biannual Capsule newsletter. Your annual financial gift is important to the growth and academic success of the Capstone College of Nursing and ensures that future generations of nursing students will receive the best experience possible at The University of Alabama.
Webster’s College Dictionary defines Capstone as “the crowning achievement.” The College of Nursing at Alabama earned this name through hard work, outstanding faculty members, the best and brightest students, pride and commitment.
