The Capstone College of Nursing at The University of Alabama offers the bachelor of science in nursing (B.S.N.) degree. We welcome freshman, transfer students and second degree students. The college is also committed to providing accessible educational options for registered nurses who want to return to school.

Freshman Students

Students entering The University of Alabama directly will follow a designated program of studies.

Transfer Students

Students transferring or planning to transfer to The University of Alabama from a junior or community college in Alabama need to know the University's course equivalents.

Second Degree Students

Students who have a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution in another field may pursue a bachelor of science in nursing degree with a revised program of study.

Options for Associate Degree & Diploma Nurses

Registered nurses who enroll at The University of Alabama may opt to pursue one of two tracks toward completion of a higher degree or degrees. Students may enroll in either an RN to B.S.N. or RN to B.S.N./M.S.N. track.
