BSN Program Ranked Among Top 5% in Nation
UA Capstone College of Nursing’s BSN program has been recognized as #31 in the nation by U.S. News World & Report. In the publication’s inaugural ranking of BSN programs*, CCN ranks among the top 5% of the over 690 schools listed.
“We are extremely proud to be recognized in the top 5% of BSN programs in the nation,” said Dr. Michelle Cheshire, CCN Associate Dean for Undergraduate Programs. “Our team is deeply invested in providing our students with the tools they need to succeed in the healthcare industry.”
The College’s graduate programs are consistently recognized by the publication as well. In 2021, CCN’s Master of Science in Nursing was ranked #17 by the publication, the highest ranked online master’s in nursing program in Alabama.
“We are fortunate at CCN to be surrounded by passionate colleagues who lead the charge in maintaining the College’s standing as a premier nursing institution,” said Dean Suzanne Prevost. “These rankings underscore the determination of our faculty and staff to provide an exceptional educational experience for our future nurses.”
*The Bachelor of Science in Nursing programs rankings are determined by the average of scores received from surveys of top academics and officials at nursing schools or departments across the U.S. Schools are included and ranked in this standalone peer assessment survey if they have bachelor’s-level accreditation by either the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education or the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing. In addition, these regionally accredited institutions must have recently awarded at least 35 BSN degrees.
