Tyler Keenum, MSN, RN, NP-C
Mr. Tyler Keenum received his BSN from the University of Alabama’s Capstone College of Nursing in May of 2009. He was awarded his MSN from Samford University in 2015 as a Family Nurse Practitioner with his FNP certification through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). After graduation from the CCN in 2009, Tyler was accepted into a nurse residency program at Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah, where he worked for two years as a Pediatric ICU nurse. He spent the following four years working in the Pediatric ICU at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital where he served as a bedside nurse, back-up charge nurse, and also with the pediatric ground transport team.
In addition to his faculty responsibilities, Mr. Keenum works one day a week as a nurse practitioner in the pediatric clinic at University Medical Center. He is faculty sponsor of OHOH Alabama, a member of the American Assembly for Men in Nursing, as well as the Sigma Theta Tau International and Phi Kappa Phi Honor Societies.
