Biography

Dr. Jessica Hester earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Capstone College of Nursing in 2008 and her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2013, specializing in Family Nurse Practitioner. She completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice in 2025 from Samford University.

Dr. Hester has a clinical background with bedside nursing experience in Critical Care and the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). She later advanced her practice as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP), specializing in pain management. Throughout her career, she has provided compassionate, evidence-based care while improving patient outcomes and mentoring future healthcare professionals.

Dr. Hester is honored to return to the Capstone College of Nursing, where her nursing journey first began. As a University of Alabama alumna, she is grateful for the opportunity to educate and inspire the next generation of nurses at the institution that helped shape her career. She is passionate about fostering clinical excellence, lifelong learning, and the confidence students need to succeed in an ever-evolving healthcare environment.
