Biography
Casey Bass is a faculty member at the Capstone College of Nursing, where she joined the faculty in 2022. She earned her Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from Bevill State Community College in 2010 and her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Samford University in 2013. In 2025, she earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from the University of Alabama Capstone College of Nursing.
Casey’s clinical experience includes roles in the Medical-Surgical Unit, Intensive Care Unit, and Cancer Clinic at Fayette Medical Center. Following completion of her MSN, she practiced as a Family Nurse Practitioner in Primary Care and Urgent Care settings.
At CCN, Casey has taught in both undergraduate and graduate nursing courses and enjoys mentoring students and helping prepare the next generation of nurses and advanced practice providers. Her professional and scholarly interests include rural health and community health, with a particular interest in improving healthcare access and outcomes in underserved communities.
Casey has been married for 19 years and is the proud mother of three boys. Outside of her professional roles, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.
