Biography
Dr. Krista Fowler is a dedicated nurse educator, clinician, and three-time alumna of The University of Alabama’s Capstone College of Nursing. She earned her BSN in December 2009 and began her nursing career in the Medical Intensive Care Unit. In August 2017, she returned to CCN to earn her MSN, completing dual concentrations as a Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, and later, completed her DNP degree in December 2025.
After completing her master’s degree in 2017, Dr. Fowler returned to her alma mater, where she currently serves as a Teaching Assistant Professor at CCN, teaching across undergraduate, graduate, and RN Mobility programs. In addition to her academic role, Dr. Fowler maintains an active clinical practice in a private cardiology office, allowing her to bridge classroom learning with current clinical practice and bring real-world experience into the educational setting.
