Biography
Dr. Lesley Davis is a Clinical Assistant Professor at The University of Alabama Capstone College of Nursing. She is a proud alumnus of our program who graduated with her BSN in 2013 and began her professional career at DCH Regional on the Cardiac Surgical ICU. In December 2016, she earned her MSN from The University of South Alabama as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She worked as a Nurse Practitioner at SpineCare Center for 5 years, and she now continues her clinical practice at ExperCARE Urgent Care serving the Tuscaloosa community as a Nurse Practitioner. In May 2026, she completed her DNP degree from the Capstone College of Nursing.
In August 2022, Dr. Lesley Davis joined the Capstone College of Nursing, where she teaches across both undergraduate and graduate nursing programs. Her scholarly and professional interests include palliative care, enhancing undergraduate nursing students’ educational competence, rural health, and mental health.
Lesley is grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the culture at the Capstone College of Nursing and to play a role in educating and shaping the next generation of nurses. Outside of her professional responsibilities, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters, traveling, and pursuing her passion for floral arranging.
