Biography

Dr. Jones serves as a clinical assistant professor at the CCN. She earned her BSN from the University of South Alabama in 2020 and her DNP from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2024. Dr. Jones is a board certified Adult-Gero Acute Care Nurse Practitioner by the ANCC and holds a secondary certification in nursing education from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Dr. Jones started her clinical career as a critical care nurse at UAB Hospital in Birmingham. She later moved to the St. Vincent’s Health System, where she gained experience throughout various ICUs. During this period, she also served as a part-time Clinical Nursing Instructor for Auburn and Samford University in their Critical Care rotations. She aims to maintain a clinical practice, serving in the acute care setting.

Dr. Jones is a member of the Nurse Practitioner Alliance of Alabama.
