Biography

Devon Tubbs is a full-time clinical instructor for the Capstone College of Nursing (CCN) and a proud CCN alumna. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from The University of Alabama in 2020. Following graduation, she began her career at UAB’s Trauma/Burn ICU before transitioning to the inpatient Hematology/Oncology Specialty Unit, where she served as a staff nurse, preceptor, and charge nurse. She later joined UAB’s Bone Marrow Transplant/ICU, where she continues to practice part-time.

In 2024, Devon completed her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with a concentration in Family Nurse Practitioner at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and currently practices part-time as a family nurse practitioner in primary care.

Outside of her professional roles, Devon enjoys traveling, spending time with her husband, Tyler, and their dog, Khloe, boating on Logan Martin Lake, and cheering on the Crimson Tide. A devoted and avid Alabama fan, she is proud to return to her Alma Mater to help prepare the next generation of nurses.
