Biography

Manning started serving the Capstone College of Nursing (CCN) as Sim Lab Assistant in May 2024.  He has over 30 years of experience as a state licensed EMT-Paramedic in Tuscaloosa and as an instructor with American Heart Association.  Manning has 27 years of management experience ranging from EMS to industry and taught the EMT- Basic and Paramedic programs for the Alabama Fire College for 8 years.  In his role with CCN, he will assist simulation-based learning for undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, and community partners while implementing new technology, procedures, and processes. 

Manning holds the following certifications:

  • Nationally Registers Emergency Medical Technician – Paramedic (NREMT-P)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Provider/Instructor Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Provider/Instructor Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
  • Provider/Instructor EMS Instructor I and II
  • OSHA General Industry Outreach Trainer
