Biography
Jennifer Kunz serves as the Administrative Assistant II in the Office of the Vice Dean at the Capstone College of Nursing (CCN). With a strong foundation in administrative and managerial support, Jennifer is integral to the fulfillment of CCN’s mission, vision, goals, and values. She adeptly manages a diverse range of responsibilities, serving as the primary liaison for the Vice Dean’s office and ensuring effective communication throughout the CCN community.
Jennifer’s expertise includes exceptional interpersonal and public relations skills, strong organizational abilities, and effective communication across various platforms, including writing, virtual interactions, and in-person engagements. Her proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Qualtrics Survey software allows her to excel in tasks such as data collection, reporting, and project management. Attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills are among her core competencies, enabling her to interact effectively with diverse groups and foster collaboration.
In her role, Jennifer provides comprehensive administrative support, managing daily activities for the Vice Dean and overseeing special projects such as the NLN Center of Excellence designation renewal. She plays a crucial role in coordinating faculty and staff development programs, supporting annual evaluations, and streamlining recruitment processes. Additionally, she takes charge of travel documentation and policy adherence, ensuring all procedures run smoothly in line with university guidelines.
A native of Tuscaloosa with deep family roots in the greater West Alabama area, Jennifer has a rich background as an office professional, encompassing event organization, social media administration, and specialized leadership in finance, legal, logistics, and travel management for executive-level managers. She is also a dedicated community volunteer, actively supporting the American Red Cross and her local church.
Jennifer’s commitment to community service is evident through her recent donation of 135 sewn masks to the Veterans Administration (VA) Hospital in Tuscaloosa, which were distributed to local veterans. In 2006, she co-founded the University of Alabama’s student organization, Crimson Tide Ballroom Dancers (CTBD), where she serves as an advisor. She offers free dance lessons at Calvary Baptist Church and coordinates various dance events throughout the academic year, fostering a sense of community and creativity among students.
Additionally, Jennifer is a Notary Public, with her commission expiring on January 27, 2027, allowing her to provide essential notarization services statewide.

In her spare time, Jennifer pursues her passion for photography, capturing memorable moments of people, places, and events through her venture, Jennifer Kunz Photography. A long-time animal lover, she shares her home with three rescue dogs, reflecting her commitment to animal welfare and the local community.
