Teresa D. Welch, Ed.D, MSN, RN, NEA-BC
Teresa D. Welch received her Doctorate of Education in Instructional Leadership from the University of Alabama in May of 2016. She received her Master’s degree in Case Management from the University of Alabama in August of 2014 and received her BSN from The University of Alabama in May of 1987. Dr. Welch has twenty-nine years of critical care nursing experience that includes the emergency department and adult intensive care units prior to joining the Capstone College of Nursing in January of 2016. Dr Welch has twenty years of nursing management experience and holds an ANCC Nurse Executive Advanced Board Certification. Her research interests lie in leadership competency development and fiscal resource management in healthcare. She has presented her research findings to international audiences and is currently involved in research aimed at understanding the education gap between nursing and healthcare finance.
Dr Welch is a current ACLS and BLS instructor and past PALS instructor. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International, American Nurses Association, National League of Nursing, American Association of Critical Care Nurses and Golden Key International.
