Andrea Sartain, Ed.D., MSN, RN, CNL
Dr. Sartain received her BSN from The University of Alabama’s Capstone College of Nursing in 2003. In 2010, she completed her MSN and obtained certification by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing as a Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL). In 2018, Dr. Sartain received her Ed.D. in Instructional Leadership from The University of Alabama’s College of Education.
Dr. Sartain has clinical experience in both critical care and palliative care. She joined the Capstone College of Nursing as a full-time faculty member in 2011. Since joining the Capstone, Dr. Sartain has supervised clinical students in NUR 372: Professional Nursing Practice: Adults, NUR 324: Fundamentals of Professional Nursing as well as NUR 473: Leadership for Professional Nursing. Dr. Sartain also teaches in the RN-BSN program, and she served as the Simulation Specialist for eight years.
