Biography
Alison Turner is a Senior Instructor at the Capstone College of Nursing. She is a proud alumna of the Capstone, receiving her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in 2006. She began her nursing career at Northport DCH Women’s Pavilion, gaining extensive experience in labor and delivery, post-partum, well baby and NICU. She began teaching OB nursing clinicals part-time for the CCN in 2015 and developed a passion for nursing education. She earned her MSN from the Capstone College of Nursing in 2017 and joined faculty as a full-time clinical instructor. She has undergraduate teaching experience for the traditional track program as well as the RN-BSN mobility track. Her course responsibilities have included Physical Assessment, Fundamentals of Nursing, Childbearing Family, and Informatics. She is the OB simulation specialist, working with high-fidelity simulators in our state of the art simulation center.
Alison is a member of the American Nurses Association, Sigma Theta Tau, and currently serves as an advisor for CCN Serve, supporting student engagement in community service initiatives.
