Biography
Tyler Nicole Fowler is a Research Assistant at the University of Alabama. She graduated in 2021 with her Bachelor of Science in Public Health with a concentration in Health Education and Promotion, and in 2024 with her Master of Art in Health Studies both from The University of Alabama. During her undergraduate and graduate programs, she was President of the Honors Society Eta Sigma Gamma-Delta Xi chapter and became a Certified Health Education Specialist in 2023. She is currently working as a program coordinator for the HRSA Grant supporting efforts to educate and certify Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners in the state of Alabama.
Tyler started her career at the Tuscaloosa SAFE Center, a sexual assault crisis center, back in 2021 as the Outreach and Education Coordinator. She moved to Cincinnati, OH working in domestic violence, sexual assault, and crisis care; and later worked for the local Health Department as a health educator before she moved back to Tuscaloosa, AL. She hopes to use her knowledge and passion to help achieve social justice for all sexual assault victims.
