To prioritize security and safeguard sensitive university and personal data, the Office of Information Technology (OIT) will be blocking built-in browser password management tools on UA-managed computers beginning March 31, 2025. This proactive measure is designed to avoid built-in password manager vulnerabilities and encourage using more robust password management solutions.

Keeper is offered to all UA students, faculty and staff, and we encourage users to use Keeper for their password management needs moving forward. OIT has created a Keeper FAQ page that will assist users in downloading and operating the tool.
