There are a number of internal resources at The University of Alabama and within the Capstone College of Nursing that promote the principles of diversity and inclusion. Please see below.
The Counseling Center helps students, undergraduate and graduate, achieve academic success and personal growth through quality brief counseling and psychological services, outreach, and consultative services, and the training of mental health professionals.
Students know the Counseling Center for its outstanding counseling services and counseling resources, as well as innovative programs including Stress Free Daze, which provides an opportunity for students to reduce their stress before finals week each semester.
The Campus Ministry Association (CMA) at The University of Alabama exists in order to coordinate and to represent those major faiths and denominations which provide ministry to the university community. The CMA understands itself to be a part of the university community; and aims to serve it by fulfilling pastoral and prophetic functions. The CMA is a voluntary association. Although we seek to work closely with The University we have no official standing with the University. All of our student ministries are officially registered groups under the Office of Student Involvement. We do have a strong and long term relationship of cooperation and mutual commitment to shared mission with the University. The CMA attempts to aid the University in the pursuit of truth, the development of whole persons, and the promotion of peace, justice, and social responsibility.
Capstone International Center (CIC)
The University of Alabama’s Capstone International Center (CIC) is responsible for internationalization efforts at The University of Alabama.

The Crossroads Community Center is an initiative of the Division of Community Affairs. Crossroads provides leadership in cultural programming and intercultural education by:
- Building relationships across cultures through innovative programs and initiatives designed to prepare students for a global society.
- Serving as a resource for organizations on and off campus concerned with intercultural issues in the community.
- Providing leadership and coordination for volunteers and professionals involved in intercultural activities.
- Conducting research and engaging in creative activity designed to build capacity for a multicultural society.

The Safe Zone Program provides a visible network of volunteers for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender (LGBT) and other individuals seeking information and assistance regarding sexual orientation, gender identity, harassment, and/or discrimination.
The Student Care & Wellbeing office provides case management and advocacy services for students who are in need of support and assistance in times of crisis or trauma. The SCWB office works closely with the Dean of Students office, On-Call Deans, the University of Alabama Police Department, the Counseling Center, and the Women and Gender Resource Center. Sustained Dialogue is a program that helps students discuss important social issues, get to know one another, and work on those social issues together. The model may be used in national, community, corporate or campus settings. Effective democracy and economic development depend on building effective relationships. Sustained Dialogue helps make them happen.

UA Black Faculty and Staff Association
The Black Faculty & Staff Association at The University of Alabama was established in the early 1970’s with a mission to serve as an advocate for educational equity, with emphasis on African-American students and the professional needs of its members.

UAct-Reporting Respect and Civility Violations
The University of Alabama is committed to providing an environment for employees, students and campus visitors that is free from harassment based on race, color, religion, ethnicity, national origin, sex (which includes sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression), age, disability or veteran status. The University will not tolerate and will take action against individuals who retaliate against individuals who, in good faith, report violations of this policy or participate in investigations related to such policy violations.
University Programs is an innovative, collaborative programming board that aims to foster community while maximizing student development through campus-wide events implemented by UA students.
The Mission of The Center for Veteran and Military Affairs is to provide, facilitate, or coordinate programs and services to meet the special needs of veterans, service members, dependents, and survivors in order to ease their transition to college life and fulfill their educational Goal. The Vision of the Center is to ensure that the University of Alabama is known as the “University of Choice” for all veterans, service members, dependents, and survivors by being nationally recognized as a “Military and Veteran Friendly University”. Programs and Services which we provide, facilitate or coordinate include but are not limited to: VA Certification, Benefits Counseling, Transition Counseling, Outreach, Family Assistance, Liaison Services (between students and VA), Admission Assistance, Military Records Assistance, Scholarship and Financial Aid Information, Tutoring Services, Counseling Services and the Campus Veterans Association.
Women and Gender Resource Center
The Women and Gender Resource Center maximizes the learning experience of every UA student and the greater UA community through outreach, services and advocacy to empower women and encourage their active and equal participation.
