Biography
Makeya Skanes Bailey received her BSN from Jacksonville State University in 2015 and her MSN in nursing education from Samford University in 2018. In the summer of 2023, she received another MSN in Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She began her nursing career as a pediatric nurse at Children’s of Alabama shortly after graduating. She has also worked in other areas such emergency medicine, women’s health and research.
